Bacon rice balls

We boil round rice till it becomes a bit sticky. The rice is left to cool down and we fry in olive oil the following ingredients:

Chopped in cubes bacon

Grated carrots

Chopped onion and leek

When the ingredients are well-fried they are added to the rice. We sprinkle some extra salt and pepper, mix it well and make balls.

What is left is to roll the balls in breadcrumbs and fry them on both sides to get a nice crispy crust.

If you want you can substitute the bacon by mushrooms.

This meal is really delicious, rich in flavors and fits healthy food standards, by the way.
